MIT Builders is a construction company that prides itself in producing a quality product at a reasonable cost. Arthur Mitchell is the founder and President of MIT Builders. Art began rehabilitating Chicago Gray stones in the late 1980’s and started building new construction in 1994 while continuing to rehabilitate and remodel older buildings. Art has been involved in building and developing of hundreds of homes for nearly 30 years. He enjoys the whole construction process and being hands on during all phases of a development. Art continues to study the latest construction processes, available materials and building techniques to aid him in staying relevant and improving the quality of the projects he engages in.

The philosophy of using individual tradesman for each craft, instead of using “Jack of all trades” persons, has ensured the work is done right the first time and withstands the test of time. Art has developed and built many sites that consisted of him buying, developing and building the new site. Art is involved in each project from the acquisition of the land through the warranty of the last home. MIT Builders are able to deliver to their customer’s quality and assurance at a fair price. Art uses his experience and expertise to construct superior quality projects that bring value and satisfaction to their clients.
Art is proud of each and every project he has had the privilege to work on. Many businesses in the construction industry were wiped out during the lean times cause by the 2008 housing bubble. The conservative approach that Art operates by has allowed him to weather the storm and ensure his clients that MIT Builders will be there in the future to help them with their changing needs.
